One of the main puzzle pieces remaining in the opening of Snapdragon Inn was the connection of a new water line. The details are complicated, but in essence we are making a major upgrade in size and service capability. The day started with Blanchard Contracting and team locating the current main and setting up for a wet-tap...this is a process that allows a new water line to be connected to the main without interrupting or shutting off service. Pretty cool--especially for the neighbors, who were more than gracious to us. The large red item is the valve connecting the main to our new line--it weighs over 300 lbs. and is not available at Home Depot. ;) The project should wrap up in a few days with pictures of some cool hook-ups for the fire safety system for all the fire geeks following this blog.
