Blue Bathroom

Today we painted Room 9's Bathroom, Sevres Blue, and it looks lovely. It compliments the Chardonnay White of the walls and makes an overall easy relaxing feel. If I could pull in the tub, I would hop right in for a soak.

Oh and we also finished Room 8--Coconut.

Lone Monadnock

The weather here in Windsor has been absolutely gorgeous:clear skies, warm sun, cool breeze. After months of being bound by the cold we all feel a little unleashed in this warmth. The other day some of us took a hike at our nearby Lone Monadnock (Lone Mountain). We are lucky to have Mt. Ascutney State Park just 10 minutes up Rt 44 from here. There is drive you can take straight to the Summit but that is not quite open so we opted to hike up the Windsor Trail for an hour or so. I enjoyed snapping some macro shots of the buds and unfurling life.

Picture of Mt. Ascutney from Paradise Park last summer--it is not that green yet.
Its elevation is 958 m (3,143 ft) and is southern Vermont's only monadnock, or lone mountain.
Skiing and Snow shoeing in the winter and hiking or mountain biking in the summer. Quite an asset to the area and so close.

Perfect weather--Perfect Help.

Thanks to another crew of awesome volunteers from Boston and Nashua, NH--Rob, Leilani, Jen, and Kathrin--we made some great progress on the yard and prep on the 2nd floor. We thank you, from the deepest parts of our Snapdragon hearts!

With weather like we had today, working on the Inn all together is really fun. Working together is the key but incredibly lovely days where the little people can run and get right into it with us sure helps too. Now, who is next Saturday's work crew going to be?

Helping Hands Rock!

In the last couple weeks, we have had some helping hands at the Inn.

Thank you to Madelene and Hiller who helped us move slate, rake, prune, pull as well as paint the final coat on the 3rd floor Hallway.

Thank you to Molly--official Snapdragon Landscaper who came up to help us know what we have in the yard, prune the guts out of what we have, and help make plans for beds.

Thank you to Mary and Vickie for helping me first coat the the 3rd floor Hallway. (Sorry no picture)

We can't express enough, how thankful we are for your helping hands. You are, of course, welcome back anytime!

Windsor Uncovered.

That time has come when the snow all melts and leaves the mushy aftermath of 5 months of cold and a ground that has been insulated from the world under feet of ice. Lake Runnemede is completely thawed and reflects Mt. Ascutney once again. I look forward to getting out more with my camera now that I don't have to worry about my fingers freezing. Before we know it, the leaves will be back. Hoorah.

Now I am off to paint the 3rd floor Hallway!
