Yesterday this was found in one of the walls--The New York Times from 1938. We've added it to our collection of found objects while renovating. This must have been a travel issue because the front page was dedicated to travel in Mexico and there were lots of advertisements for travel. I think we should take a cue from the 30s design for Snapdragon ads, "Your own trip at your own pace...arrangemets made by Snapdragon Inn"

I am wondering if we should sneak in a paper from 2010 somewhere for someone to find in 2080. Now doesn't that sound crazy????!!!
Have a wonderful, sunny, summery weekend everyone!

That is so cool. I was thinking the same thing replace it with one from today. Or ... if we are in the paper with our opening we stash that somewhere for someone to find in 200 years.
What wall was this found in?
That's very cool. It's well preserved too--being closed away in the darkness of a wall. Hopefully you won't be opening up too many more walls at this point. I think newspapers are great ways to really learn about a culture from a certain time period. Cool find!
